Sentier's Elevate Community

Join us!

Sentier’s new Elevate Community brings together those who are striving to improve our cities, places and communities  – planners, designers, economists, analysts, engineers and others who work in public policy and the built environment.

We work in a busy context, and from my coaching conversations I know it can be difficult to find the time and space to reflect, to think deeply, and to make sure our actions are aligned with our goals.

This community provides a supportive space to come together to learn from expert Coach and trainer, Liz, to share challenges, and supportively explore the edges of our comfort zones.

A chance to step out of the day-to-day, with like-minded professionals at a similar career stage, it’s for those who want to level up their influence and impact.

What's included

How it works

The community is about supporting your professional development, with conversations designed to broaden your horizon and level up your mindset.

It’s a reflective space where we’ll learn from each other.

In the monthly sessions, you can bring a challenge to work on with the group. You can also choose to listen in, support others and contribute your thoughts.

It’s a semi-structured, facilitated session; a bit “choose-your-own-adventure” style!

The monthly session

  1. I’ll post the monthly topic in the chat, a few days before. Topics could include (for example): Reflecting on your Unique Value, the SCARF model, Decision Making, and Fostering Creativity in your Team.  I’m also open to taking nominations for topics
  2. We’ll start with a quick whip around – you can tell us about a win, a challenge or a specific issue or challenge you want to talk through.
  3. Based on the themes that emerge, we’ll delve into the designated topic, or have some smaller group discussions on specific issues. I’ll give guidance about how you can approach it.
  4. We’ll talk about the designated topic, if it hasn’t already come up.
  5. We’ll wrap up and reflect on what we’ve learnt, and what we’re committing to.
  6. Short info sheets about models and frameworks will be provided, too.

Preparing for the session: Decide if there’s a specific topic or issue you want to bring to the Group.

At the session: Be prepared to share your experience, and offer advice to others in the group.
