Organisational Pathway Coaching

A three way partnership between the individual, their organisation and the coach.

Confident Career Decision Coaching

A program for individuals wanting to take control of their careers.

Organisational Pathway Coaching

Sentier’s Organisational Pathway Coaching program is a three-way partnership between the counterpart (client individual or coachee), the organisation and the coach, to identify a pathway for the counterpart to achieve their potential. The program is unique to the counterpart’s situation, and aligned to organisational objectives.

The partnership sets overarching program goals, and checks in during the program to reflect on changes and learnings. The structure supports the counterpart to succeed – whether this is clarifying their strengths, role, career trajectory or leadership style, or supporting them to step into a new role, implement change or negotiate a challenging project.

The program goals are worked through up front, and we return to them regularly to refine or update as needed.

Program Overview

The counterpart and coach undertake a series of 1:1 confidential discussions. The sessions involve curious and thought provoking questioning to help the counterpart clarify personal goals, explore issues or barriers, get to the heart of their motivations and agree actions.

Coaching sessions progressively build on progress and achievements; by reflecting without judgement on what has happened. The coach facilitates and guides the discussion so it helps uncover new perspectives and insights into what’s driving the counterpart’s actions.

This yields realisations about what might be holding back progress, and how these can be overcome.

The sessions are spaced to facilitate learning, reflection and build momentum.

What is coaching?

It is ...

It isn't ...

Getting Started

To kick off the program, there’s a three-way conversation with the organisational stakeholder (usually a line manager), where we’ll talk about the goals for coaching, and how these align with those of the organisation. We’ll also identify what sort of support might be needed during the program (eg accountability and checking in internally).

This is an opportunity for an open discussion about aspirations – the type of leader and colleague you want to be, as well as your strengths and the things that excite you about work.

During the Sessions

The sessions are 1:1, confidential conversations, where we focus on you to refine your goals, and how to achieve them. Each session will feel a bit different; the conversation and what we uncover will help guide where we go – but in each session you’ll come away with tangible actions and steps.

Each session will build on the last; by reflecting without judgement on what has happened.

As your coach, my role is to facilitate and guide the discussion so it helps you uncover new perspectives and insights into your motivations and beliefs. This will yield realisations about what might be holding you back, and how you can overcome these.

Check out the fundamental beliefs I bring to our coaching journey – this is what underpins my approach and why love working with curious and engaged people.

You’ll come away from each session with:

  • renewed focus on what’s important and (more importantly) why it’s important to you
  • a clear way towards that goal – so not just where you’re heading, but how you’re going to get there
  • the confidence that this is the right path for you, and the self belief that you can achieve it.

After the Sessions

Between the sessions, depending on your planned actions and what we agree, I’ll check in with you to see how you’re progressing.

Checking in with your manager/ stakeholder can help with accountability and it can also be helpful for them to understand the things you’re working on, so they can provide any support you might need.

At the end of the program, we’ll re-group with your manager / stakeholder, for some overall reflections, and talk about next steps.

This can also be a good point to set some objectives and key results you want to keep working on, based on what we’ve uncovered in the sessions.

We can also arrange for further check-ins 3 or 6 months later.
