Sentier's Pathway Community
Join us!
Sentier’s Pathway Community brings together those who are striving to improve our cities, places and communities – planners, designers, economists, analysts, engineers and others who work in the built environment.
We come together to build practical leadership skills, share challenges, by supportively exploring the edges of our comfort zones.
It’s specifically for those who are discovering their leadership voice and leading projects and teams.
What's included
- $150 per month
-
Monthly 90 minute group sessions (second Wednesday of each month).
Come along and explore in more detail practical ways you can excel, and overcome the obstacles that get in your way. These sessions will be a combination of AMA-style, talking through specific issues, and asking questions and chat with other participants. - Info sheets on models, frameworks and tools that we discuss in the sessions
- Accountability via group chat - commit to actions (Eat the Frog!), and check in on progress
- Discounts on 1:1 coaching - if you want some additional targeted support.
Group Principles
The community is about supporting the practical application of skills, to your personal situation.
It’s a reflective space where you’ll learn from each other.
You can bring a challenge to work on, or sometimes you might want to listen in, support others or contribute your thoughts. It’s similar to the Group Coaching sessions we did, but with a few new things to learn.
It’s a semi-structured, facilitated session; a bit “choose-your-own-adventure” style!
How it works
- I’ll post the monthly topic in the chat, a few days before. Topics could include (for example): Reflecting on your Unique Value, the SCARF model, Decision Making, and Fostering Creativity in your Team.
- We’ll start with a quick whip around – maybe you can tell us about a win, a challenge or a specific issue or challenge you want to talk through.
- Based on the themes that emerge, we’ll delve into the designated topic, or have some smaller group discussions on specific issues. I’ll give guidance about how you can approach it.
- We’ll talk about the designated topic, if it hasn’t already come up.
- We’ll wrap up and reflect on what we’ve learnt, and what we’re committing to.
Short info sheets about models and frameworks will be provided, too.
Preparing for the session: Decide if there’s a specific topic or issue you want to bring to the Group.
At the session: Be prepared to help others in the group, and to also ask for help from others.
It is ...
- Focus on you – the individual
- Uncovering new insights
- Considering courageous options
- Looking at topics from a range of perspectives
- Questioning to understand
- Striving towards your potential
- Reviewing with curiosity
